Background[]
Antonia Maldonado wore a religious necklace that had a pendant of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Roman Catholic icon of the Virgin Mary. Antonia was known for always wearing this distinct piece of jewelry, symbolizing her deeply religious personality.
Events of L.A. Noire[]
Antonia was murdered by the Black Dahlia killer, a case which was soon after investigated by Detectives Cole Phelps and Rusty Galloway. They learned of Antonia's necklace from Barbara Lapenti, Diego Aguilar and Angel Maldonado during questioning. Phelps and Galloway eventually arrested and charged Clem Feeney and recovered most Antonia's personal effects including her charm bracelet, however the necklace remained missing.
Later while tracking down the Black Dahlia Killer, Phelps investigated a lead at the Los Angeles Public Library and found the medallion at the top roof. This confirmed Phelps' suspicions that Feeney was not the true killer.
